ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

Their products cover notebooks, desktops, servers, network appliances, wired and wireless data communications, digital consumer electronics products. Our client has been recognized by reputable magazines such as Fortune, Forbes, Common Wealth and Business, etc. due to their outstanding business performance and potential.

To uphold its leadership position in the market, our client is seeking for Mechanical Design Architect Manager.

LOCATION

New Taipei City, Taiwan

POSITION & MAIN PURPOSE

As a member of the RD management team of the organization, the Mechanical Design Architect Manager will work closely with the Chief Technical Staff and LCM BU Head to drive the product development technology for the Company in the area of R&D. The incumbent will play a vital, strategic, and involved role in the organization and will assist in managing priorities and oversight of a number of critical projects, which have significant impact on the company‘s competitiveness in the market. The position will partner closely with the other functional heads to ensure organizational objectives are being met and operational processes are efficient and in compliance.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Technical Staff, LCM BU, DVG in Taiwan.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities and priorities of the position will include, but not be limited to the followings:

?Develop new products development strategies with cross function teams.

?Lead optical institutional development project.

?Prepare test plans, execute tests, which found that one of the design problems and improve in a timely manner.

?Establish priorities for research and development projects.

?Direct and coordinate research and development leading to new or improved products and processes.

?Assure that each new technical endeavor increases development speed and quality.

?Oversee the development of new product ideas, including the study and evaluation of their potential and practicality.

?Nurture and refine product ideas in the early stages of development to achieve long-term survival and ultimate success.

?Communicate technical knowledge and new product concepts to the different business units.

?Plan and direct strategic projects across diverse business units including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analyses, and establish milestones/final deliverables of overall costs.

?Lead, mentor, and develop the current R&D team.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The highly motivated and seasoned candidate for this role will have:

?More than 10 years working experience in optical ME design with more than 3 years new CE product design experience.

?Mechanical design capability to generate new design in time.

?Proactive to create next generation product architecture to meet market need.

?Test plan preparation and test conduction to find design problem.

?Abundant mechanical parts and material knowledge to catch future design trend.

?Open mind to discuss with internal functions and suppliers for innovative design.

?Fluently communication in English.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
